The Problem
Only 5.5% of Ebenezer’s external hires came from employee referrals, making it more challenging to attract clinical talent and reduce turnover.
In a competitive market, attracting and retaining clinical talent is a top challenge for Ebenezer Senior Living. With only 6% of external hires coming through referrals, employees were largely unaware of the referral program and under-engaged. This lack of participation caused the talent acquisition team to miss out on a valuable resource that is proven to enhance both talent attraction and retention.
Solution with Eqo
Ebenezer launched Eqo to provide an engaging referring experience for employees, and to increase employee awareness with targeted SMS referral campaigns
We implemented a text-based employee referral solution that enabled their team to engage the workforce through SMS campaigns. Additionally, we enhanced visibility by placing physical banners and posters throughout their facilities to raise awareness of the referral program.
The Results
In just 10 months, Ebenezer amplified their employee referral rate to 30% (sourcing 512 clinical hires), reduced Turnover by 79%, and shortened Time-to-Fill by 32 Days
In 10 months, Ebenezer’s 512 referral hires through employee referrals included
- 42 Registered Nurses and LPNs
- 179 Resident Assistants
