What is healthcare hiring?
Healthcare hiring is the process of recruiting and selecting qualified individuals to fill job positions in the healthcare industry. This involves advertising open positions, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, and selecting the most suitable person for the job.

As the demand for healthcare workers continues to grow, many organizations are struggling to fill their open positions. The result is an increasingly competitive job market, with employers battling for the best and brightest candidates.

iCIMS recently published their April Monthly Workforce Report and here are some benchmarks you can track against to see how your organization is doing in health services hiring.

1. Your March Application Numbers Increased Compared to January

iCIMS reports that Healthcare application numbers in March of 2023 are at the level they were at in January this year. Therefore, if you’re getting more applications compared to January, you’re on the positive side.

2. You’re getting more than 8.7 Applicants per Nursing Opening

iCIMS reports that health services employers saw an average of 8.7 applicants per nursing opening in March. If you’re getting more than that, you’re doing a better job than the national average.

3. You’re Getting more than 15.8 Applicants per All Openings

iCIMS also reports that health services employers saw an average of 15.8 applicants per opening role in March. If you’re getting more than that, you’re doing a better job than the national average.

4. Your Time-to-Fill for Nursing Roles is less than 42 Days

iCIMS reports that health services employers saw an average of 42 days when it comes to the time it takes to fill a nursing role. If you’re moving faster than that, you’re doing a better job than the national average.

5. Your Time-to-Fill for All Roles is less than 41 Days

iCIMS also reports that health services employers saw an average of 41 days when it comes to the time it takes to fill a role. If you’re moving faster than that, you’re doing a better job than the national average.
